In 1987 my brother Guido Gillabel created the Cosmic Egg Tarot. This gave me the inspiration to make its counterpart, the Physical Egg Tarot. As I like to experiment with painting, I decided to paint a major arcana on empty egg shells. For a couple of weeks I ate a lot of eggs and painted a new tarot deck.
The images have been painted by inspiration at the moment of painting. They are based on the traditional images, altered here and there according to my intuition at that time.
