back to Light-Sound BeingsJoska Soos: Sounds

When Joska Soos shamanizes, he is able to see the light-sound beings. His paintings are an attempt to bring them onto canvas. White lines represent very bright, intense white light. Before he discovered the air-brush technique he drew the light lines as black lines (see his drawings below). He still makes little drawings in which he uses black lines to represent white light, a fact one has to remember when viewing his drawings.

Light-sound beings manifest themselves as light and sound. When sounds are considered by themselves, they are alive too, that is they have consciousness. There is nothing in the universe that has no consciousness. So sometimes Joska Soos perceives what is considered as pure sounds, notes or music, in a visible form, as an vibrating, conscious entity. Here are some examples.

     44. "Music d'Amethiste" (Music of Amethyst)

A wonderful painting, bought by a friend of mine. I would have bought it myself, but I have to content myself with a picture of it

45. "Les Douze Signes Sonore du Zodiaque" (The Twelve Sound Signs of the Zodiac)

The twelve signs of the zodiac. Everything in the universe is alive and essentially consists of light and sound. The symbols we use are often derived from actual light-sound forms that our ancestors were able to perceive in other dimensions. See if you can find a similarity with the traditional representations of the zodiacal signs.

46. Heavenly Sounds, 1995

47. Light Sounds of the Sea at De Panne, 1994.

These are light sounds he saw while on vacation at De Panne, a Belgian coastal city.
