To Order an Available Item:
Email your choice to sun19@earthlink.net . Give your usual size. Measurements I need include neckline to hem, width of shoulders across back, plus chest, waist, and hip diameter.
Il will email back to let you know if the vest is still available and if it will fit you.

Fill out the printable order form, include payment and send it to Carol Herzer. Money order purchases are shipped on receipt of payment. Personal checks must first clear.
Prices do not include shipping.
Carol will make a jacket or vest just for you. You can have it long or short, with pockets inside, outside, or both. It can be reversible if you like. Carol will discuss with you the available selection of fabrics and colors as well as your measurements at the time you order.
Custom orders require a 50% pre-payment, with the other half due before shipping. Depending on Carol's work
load orders will be completed in about four weeks, more or less. To

If for any reason the vest is not right for you you may return it. Consideration for returns are as follows:
The vest or jacket must be clean and undamaged.
It must be received by us within 3 weeks of the original shipping date.
You are responsible to pay return postage.
You will receive credit for another item. This includes the possibility of a custom order.
If the price is not equivalent, it must be negotiated. Shipping charges are not refunded.
Most
of the jackets and coats shown here are made using the traditional
Turkish Coat pattern from the Folkwear collection of authentic patterns. A few
pieces have been made with a more conventional jacket pattern. The vests
are made with the Tibetan Panel Coat pattern, also from Folkwear. The patterns
are such that any one vest or jacket will fit a range of sizes. Carol has
modified the patterns somewhat to give better fit in the shoulders, and added
pockets. The sleeves in the jackets are usually cut long and made so they can be
rolled up one turn to make them shorter if desired. Sizes are indicated by S, M,
and L for small medium and large. However, a small may very well fit a medium,
and a medium to medium- large will fit a range of sizes too. Since
almost all pieces are one of a kind (there have been a few copies, but even they
are somewhat different) I do not stock sizes. Remember, custom orders are
available and welcome.
Carol uses a wide
variety of fabrics, favoring natural fibers and including silk, wool,
cotton, linen, hemp, rayon ( a wood fiber). I may
still have yardage of the fabrics you see, look at what has been made for
ideas about what you want. Fabrics in my collection include: velvets
velveteen, printed cottons, some lovely heavy cotton batiks, brocades,
linen, and a very nice selection of handmade fabric from Thailand. I have
some African prints with heavy gold printing on them. There is a group of
silk and rayon brocades, shown in a few jackets, but I have more
available, including red with gold dragons, just waiting for the right
person! On rare occasion some of the very special newer synthetic fabrics
may be included, in particular metallics and glittery or shimmery ones.
